in a creative and meaningful way? Well just check the volunteer opportunities below. Called before you say?...and didn't get a call back. Well....the GEAR Board will make, sure that doesn't happen! If you fit and wish, to volunteer call 621-6546, 7-11 p.m. any night and leave a message for "Uncle Gregg." He's the new Volunteer Coordinator and will make sure you don't have to go through the frustration of calling twice. Positions are currently open for:

TYPIST-Accurate, approximately

two hours per week. With experience in typing ditto mastersa real find without will train! A good way to get those rusty skills back in shape.

CARPENTER Experienced. The Center has need of walls and doors hung on existing frames. About eight to 12 hours per month. "If I were a carpenter..." boy would I feel loved and needed at the

Center.

DRYWALL Experienced. (Someone to finish those walls the carpenter is creating.)

HOTLINE VOLUNTEER No experience necessary. Will (and do) train for an important role within the needs of the Gay Community. Eight positions available, four hours per week requested. On this one call and leave a message for

"Uncle Tom". P.S. The Gay Hotline is looking for a few GOOD women and men!!!

SPEAKER'S BUREAU New training session in March. The bureau is looking for women and women and men to speak on the widest variety of subjects relating to the Gay community in general.

WILL TRAIN! Learn how to communicate with the straight community.

Dance marathon benefit for Cleveland Ballet

Cleveland Ballet is seeking couples to "Dance the Night and Day and Night Away" at

the Great Cleveland Ballet Dance Marathon, a benefit for Cleveland Ballet, Friday, April 30 through Sunday, May 2 at Public Hall.

Patterned after the dance marathons of the 20's and 30's, the 26 hour marathon is open to anyone who likes to dance. Expertise and fancy footwork are not necessary, just a partner and stamina. Standing and moving, in this case, qualify as dancing. Music will be live and canned.

Couples may enter inde pendently, or may represent a school, club, business, professional organization, favorite restaurant or bar.

Entry fee is $25 per couple. Entrants must be 16 years of age or older. (Parental consent is required; for those under 18 years of age.)

Dancers will be provided with food and medical care throughout the marathon, and there will be mandatory rest periods. All finishing couples will be awarded prizes.
